Advance Portfolio - problem with selecting accounts

Looking at the Scheme for the Advanced Portfolio report, I believe that it is set only to allow you to select accounts of type Stock. Perhaps you don't have any accounts with that setting?

Subject: Advance Portfolio - problem with selecting accounts

Hi, I've got a strange problem, and I've browsed through the forum here, but
haven't found anything on this.

I generate a 'advanced portfolio' report and it starts off as blank with the
following message:
Advanced Portfolio 12/31/2012
Advanced Portfolio:
No accounts selected
This report requires accounts to be selected.
Edit report options

So I go to 'edit report options' to select accounts, dates, etc. I do this
regularly for income & expense reports.

Intriguingly, I cannot select an account! I can click on one, but when I
hold down the ctrl and click on another account, the earlier clicked account
looses focus. I've also tried the button option 'select all' and then
'apply', I've also tried to click on one account and click 'select
children'. When I click 'apply', the selection gets cleared, even while the
dialogue box is still open!

I'm baffled. Has anybody had this kind of experience? I cannot understand
the cause. This happens only with Reports:Assets & Liabilities:Advance
Portfolio.

I've meddled around with every other type of report, and the selection of
accounts works fine. Any ideas?
