Advance Portfolio - problem with selecting accounts

Yeah, I did a bit of googling, and realized that the 'advance portfolio' is
made specifically for stocks. It can't be used more generally. 
 
At the moment, I'm not using stocks, or the plugin/whatever needs to be done
to get the stocks update working. 
 
That's why I deleted my post to the forum but I guess it still inboxe'd you!
