Not really a gnucash question, but check /var/log/syslog for CRON or
anacron entries (grep -i cron /var/log/syslog | less).

Another thing that might help is, from a command line, type "crontab
-e".  It should bring up a text editor with your crontab in it.  If
not, it may not have been registered properly.  Create a new one and
save it with this command.
