You information is very useful. Now I know that I need to patch
Finance::Quote. 

However, instructions at

only show us how to patch Finance::Quote in Linux.

I am using Gnucash (2.4.11) in windows 7. Do you know whether there is a
patch file for Gucash in windows and is there any instructions on how to
patch Finance::Quote in windows?
