New install in Suse 64bit gone awry

What you can do is:
Uninstall guile-2.0
Reinstall guile-1.8
Create the symlink
Do the guile command mentioned before.

If GC from Suse is linked to Guile-2.0 then ypu need to
regompile it for yourself.
