Understanding the 'transfer' list of options...

It is entirely up to you which expense account you assign it to, but
that sounds reasonable.

Why depreciation?  I would have thought Expenses:Computing or
something along those lines.  Again though it is entirely up to you
what to call your expense accounts.

Could be, again it is up to you how you do it.  It could be
Expenses:Computing again if that is what you want.

I will let someone else comment on the best way to track VAT as I have
not had to do it.  I am sure I remember discussions about that on this
list though, have you searched the archives?
