Importing QIF from Skrooge

Hi using version 2.4.2 there is no log which shows where the error occurred
when importing a QIF file generated by Skrooge.
Transaction amount: Unrecognized or inconsistent format.

Oddly, the import works fine with 'Money Manager EX'

Can anyone give me some tips on how to trouble-shoot importation when it
fails?
