GC 2.4.11 fails to launch (Windows XP)

Dear David,

I'm afraid that must have been somebody else with the same problem then.
This is the first time I installed the software.

Unfortunately there are no other symptoms but this fatal error. I also tried
installing the English version to be compatible with the operator system's
laguage, but that didn't help.

I now tried the previous version (2.4.10), but that gives the same problem.
