Program is hanging up

John asked you to do something and report on what happened. Not sitting 
at your computer support people have to ask you to do things and then 
tell them the result. Wait till he gets back to you. That it has 
something to do with your (previous) user log in but not with another 
might not be information useful to you but probably is to John.

Note that I here have to deal with wonky behavior (though not usually 
hangs) because of a user ID problem*. John's next question might be to 
show him the two user IDs.
