Hi Chris,

Yes, I would agree as I used two accounts under Assets for each stock
Assets:Investment:DRIP Cash:IBM
Assets:Investment:Stock:IBM

Of course there was an Income:Investment:IBM account

The Assets:Investment:DRIP Cash:IBM was a CASH account and normally had a
ZERO balance. It provided the cash to purchase the DRIP stock that was held
in the Assets:Investment:Stock:IBM account.
To go from the Assets:Investment:DRIP Cash:IBM to the
Assets:Investment:Stock:IBM I used the ACTION->TRANSFER mechanism

On the arrival of a divided that went to DRIP stock, the cash went this way
Income:Investment:IBM -> Assets:Investment:DRIP Cash:IBM  ->
Assets:Investment:Stock:IBM

Not sure if the experts agree but it works for me.
