I didn't have time so far to report this, but I experience a similar problem.
It happens with the latest (as of yesterday) 2.4 branch revision as well.
Going back to 2.4.8 did work ok for me. I tried resetting the gtk-theme to MS-
Windows and then installed 2.4.9 (after uninstalling 2.4.8). Now I could run
2.4.9, but my home built 2.4 branch (commit from yesterday or day before)
still crashes. This may be unrelated though.
In any of the cases, there's nothing in the gnucash.trace file.
I also tried to open the gtk-theme selector, but it crashes as well. There is
a crash report in the Windows Application logs, stating that gnucash.exe (or
gtk-prefs.exe) has crashed.
The module that caused the crash according to the report is libgdk-
win32-2.0-0.dll, version 2.24.8.0
Unfortunately I don't have time to investigate this further.
