Postponed Scheduled Transactions disappearing

To follow-up on my own post... I just opened bug 677651
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=677651

A search turned up a couple of other open (unconfirmed) bugs with
Scheduled Transactions -- Bug 543212 and Bug 672760 -- HOWEVER I have NOT
seen
either of the behaviors listed in those bugs, so I cannot confirm them.

I use Scheduled Transactions very extensively across four gnucash data
files so I really depend on them working as expected, so I will eagerly
help anyone with the know-how to debug this.
