Updating exchange rates in windows fails

BTW, it would be great if this additional step would be added to the 
documentation under 
http://gnucash.org/docs/v2.4/C/gnucash-help/acct-create.html#Online-price-setup 
(or wherever else appropriate)
I did follow those instructions, but this manual fix step is not 
documented anywhere.
