Yes, there is trouble with openSUSE 12.1 and Gnucash which is associated 
with guile2. Have you seen the bugzilla report at 
<https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=724917>?

I'm using the bug-fixed version, 2.4.7, provided by Petr Gajdos. This 
works fine for me.
