Look in the directory where you keep your account file. You should find a bunch of files of the form "foo.gnucash.20120212140653.gnucash" (substitute the name your filename for "foo"). The numbers are a timestamp. The example is for 2012-Feb-12 at 14:06:53. Open the most recent of those files; if it looks OK, use File>Save As to save it with your original file name. If it doesn't look good, repeat with the next-most-recent and so on, until you find one that does look OK.
