Check printing in windows?

Some years back - more than 5, but less than 10, the commercial
accounting software used by my work to do the payroll was found to have
a nasty fault.
If you updated a person's leave other than at end of month, it
miscalculated. 
Confirmed by the external accountants.
Fault logged.
No response. It wasn't even clear if this fault was fixed in the next
release - release notes never tell you which bugs were fixed, merely
what wonderful new feature you now "can't do without".


You may not like the FOSS method of development, but I don't find
anything of great wonder in the commercial secret method of development
either.
