Question about closing the books

Hey All,

I've been using GnuCash for the last year with good results.  We're a 
small operation and I'm not an official accountant.  I had a question 
about closing the books.  I think everything is in place to close 2011 - 
I haven't reconciled every account (just our bank, paypal, etc.) and 
there are still open invoices that need to carry over so I'm just 
wondering if closing 2011 has any impact on that or if there's anything 
I need to know.
