Wow, so you guys are using Windows with Finance Quote no issues?
I am experiencing the dreaded Finance Quote bug.

All the searches I have done pointed me to some update for Finance Quote
patch which I could not for the world of it figure out how to implement.
(Attempting to edit the actual Quote.pm file just can't work...maybe
it's a permissions issue.)
To Michi:
Download ActivePerl from from ActiveState. It installs fine for me.
[Just doesn't work though...]
[BTW, this is pretty much what's stated in the guide or the manual...]
The procedure I did was.
1) Download ActivePerl from ActiveState website
2) Install ActivePerl
3) Install Finance Quote using the shortcut in your start menu in
GnuCash called "Install Online Price Retrieval"
I hope it works out for you because although everything installed
without a hitch for me, it failed to load currencies properly. [i.e. It
has become useless to me except that ActivePerl is now stealing my
system resources. *laugh*] The error message and the research I did to
try to get it working pointed that the quote.pm file is outdated in
scrapping the information from Yahoo's site but I have been completely
stumped as to how I can update Finance Quote to the latest version.
Warmest Regards,
William
