Gnucash/Scheme How-To for reports?

Hi David,

basically I am on the way to do this.
I updated quite a bit the Wiki-page
http://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Custom_Reports

and it just time about to jump into the topic as you mentioned it below
(so far I focused on the introducing chapters 1 to 5, finally, with
chapter 6 it is getting interesting).
Feel free to jump in - or just wait a bit as I have a slight idea of at
least how to approach this, which is not a 5 minutes thing.
(I have to admit that I lost pace a bit due to lack of time, but I am on
it...)

Regs,
Carsten

It occurred to me that, while the mechanics of Scheme were rather opaque to my feeble mind, the problem was complicated by several orders of magnitude by the Gnucash API. The combination locked me out of even considering making scheme-based reports, or alter existing reports with confidence.

What I am imagining is basic: "to get the account name, use the xxx command, which is located in yyy file and has zzz command structure." And so on.
