Customer report error

Good day
I'm running gnucash 2.4.11 on Win XP.
When I run the 'customer report' i get only "a error occourred while running
the report.", but only on some particular date range (for example choosing
1/1/2010-31/12/2010 in the options gives me an error, while
1/1/2010-31/12/2011 produces the expected result).
