Interesting. When the dialog comes up, are there already values in it?

The connection between Gnucash and MySQL is supposed to be encoded in UTF-8, so it *should* work as long as you've localized the MySQL for Chinese as well. Its default is Swedish, which has caused trouble for unwary users.

> Well, Gtk, not Gnome, but that's a good question. Since we don't really understand what's going on, it's hard to say what the problem might be or in which codebase. It doesn't make a lot of sense to me that it would happen only in that one dialog box.
