Upgrading to 2.4.13

Hi,

Ihave installed GNU Cash 2.4.10
Can I use 2.4.10 at this time?
I am using Ubuntu 12.4 (Linux Mint 13), which is a five year long term 
release.
I attempted to use the latest releases of Ubuntu and Linux Mint, however 
they have some bugs and missing packages that I desire.

However, if  you feel that I would benefit in using only newest Ubuntu 
releases,Iwill.
(I assume the latest Ubuntu releases will provide newer versions of GNU 
Cash)
Please advise.

I am open to forming a GNU Cash users group in the Los Angelesor North 
Orange County area of Southern California.
Since I am migrating from Quickbooks onto GNU Cash, I have the ability 
to provide assistance for other GNU Cash users undergoing this process.
