Portuguese Translation of Users guide

Hi Peter

I understand and hope to contribute. Just looking to find a the right starting point so that we can capitalise on what's already done.

I have discovered that the previously discussed Brazilian Portuguese Translation is a part translation of the GnuCash Tutorial and Concepts Guide. It has been done in parts and separate sections - each as a separate web pages (http://amgava.wordpress.com/). I can try to merge into one document however it would not be in the same format as the ones on the http://www.gnucash.org/docs.phtml page. You maybe able to advise on this.

The only thing I am unsure about is that we have not heard from the original author (Andre Mateus Gava) however considering he used the original English guide a start I would imagine he would not mind if we compiled into one.

This is a collaboration driven project. You get the product of many people's labour for free. If you end up in the position of being able to contribute something back then it is wise and good to take that opportunity.

And if your current predicament leeds to the choice between paying for licensing an alternative proprietary product (with existing Mozambiquan permissions) or paying for getting the user guide translated (and passing it back to the project) then I would suggest, latter is the more productive way forward.

Peter
