Trading destroyed Gnucash file!

You clicked the option 'Use Trading Accounts', and GnuCash created Trading
Accounts for you. Your file isn't 'destroyed'.
If you are using more than one currency then Trading Accounts are (imo)
essential. There is and excellent tutorial by Peter Selinger which I
recommend you read:
