Trading destroyed Gnucash file!

I think you're being a little dramatic to say that it "destroyed" your file!
If you decide you don't want trading accounts and don't want to just back up to a copy of your file from before you added them, you should be able to get rid of them. I haven't tried this, so be sure to have a good backup of your file before you try it. If you delete the trading accounts and tell GnuCash to delete the splits instead of moving them to a different account you might be able to get back to a pre-trading account version of your data. If you try this, let us know if it works.
A safer way, but more work, would be to open each of the trading accounts in a register and manually delete each of the splits. Then the accounts will be empty and can be deleted.
