This is what the target of the shortcut looks like (in XP)

set PATH=C:\Program Files\gnucash\bin;C:\Program
Files\gnucash\lib;C:\Program Files\gnucash\lib\gnucash;%PATH%
set GUILE_WARN_DEPRECATED=no
set GNC_MODULE_PATH=C:\Program Files\gnucash\lib\gnucash
set GUILE_LOAD_PATH=C:\Program
Files\gnucash\share\gnucash\guile-modules;C:\Program
Files\gnucash\share\gnucash\scm;C:\Program
Files\gnucash\share\guile\1.6;%GUILE_LOAD_PATH%
set LTDL_LIBRARY_PATH=C:\Program Files\gnucash\lib
set QOF_LIB_DIR=C:\Program Files\gnucash\lib\gnucash
start gnucash-bin

(ignore the wrap around of the fourth line caused by the length of lines
in an email -- actual lines start with "set" and the last "start")

Are people saying that the last line should be edited to
start gnucash-bin --nofile

Michael

PS: As people can see by this, it's really still old MS-DOS underneath.
