gnucash not starting after an upgrade

Hi All
I upgraded my gnucash and now it does not start.  I am currently using 
gnucash-2.4,11 on a XP machine.  I start it and nothing happens. If I 
look with What's Running, I see:
   gnucash-2.4.11-setup.exe
   gnucash-2.4.11-setup.tmp
   gnucash.exe
   gconfd-2.exe

There is no activity in any of these programs.
Any ideas would be helpful.
If there is a better place for this question, please let me know.
