Reports Problem

   I have installed GnuCash 2.4.11 but I had the same problem with 2.4.7.
   Account ledgers ("Basic Ledger" view) display fine. However, I cannot
   get any report to display not even the sample reports. All that
   displays is an empty tab, i.e., the tab shows the tab name but no
   content--it's empty, blank. The tab opens and then I click on Options
   and then
   select and apply my dates and select and apply the accounts I want.
   Still, I get nothing.
   I've looked at the FAQs, Help, User's Manual, and I've even looked at
   Gnucash 2.4 Small Business Accounting: Beginner's Guide by Ashok
   Ramachandran and I cannot understand why the reports don't work for me.
   On the hunch that maybe my installation was somehow corrupted I did a
   complete uninstall and reinstall; it made no difference. Does anyone
   have any idea why I can't get the Reports feature to work. Yes, I have
   checked the filters and report options.
