Where are Account Options?

You edit Account Options from the Chart of Accounts window. 

In that window, select the account in question and click the Edit button on the toolbar.

But do tell us exactly how you created the account; my recollection is that when one creates an account, it is not set up read-only. Perhaps there's more to this.
