Sorry not to be able to give you an answer, but you really have to define what your question is more clearly!

I _think_ what you want is the difference between total income and expenditure over a given period, expressed as a percentage of the total income...

…but you might want to express the increase in the value of a savings account in a given period, as a percentage of your total income over the same period...

…or you might want something completely different!

I often find that the concentration involved in explaining to someone else what I'm trying to do enables me to solve the problem myself.
