There is also a new feature that lets you set whether the 'num' field on
registers/reports is tied to the transaction number field or the split
action field. If you don't change that setting in 'book options' it should
not be a problem to go from 2.4 to 2.6 and back. If you do change that
setting when in 2.6, 2.4 will not be able to open it.
