Mavericks / Incremental account search not working

The feature you describe works very well for me. What I'm talking about is:

1) go to the list of accounts window.
2) start typing "ame"
3) the selected account becomes "American Express"
4) press down arrow
5) the selected account jumps down to "American Funds"

Currently, nothing happens when I type anything.
