Report Generation in GnuCash Version 2.6

You pointed me on the right direction, although it wasn't through modifying
the report options.

The problem was solved by selecting "Edit"on the menu bar, then clicking 
Style Sheets" in the drop down menu.

I selected "Easy" in the 'Select HTML Style Sheet' dialog box which came up,
and clicked the 'Edit' Button at the bottom.

This brought the Properties box up.  Clicking the images tab showed me 4
comboboxes, 3 of which had image files listed in them.  Clicking the clear
buttons next to the boxes emptied them.

After clicking the apply button, I closed the properties and dialogue boxes,
closed down GnuCash, and then re-opened it.  

Then when I regenerated a report it was as it should have been.

I am not familiar with GnuCash on Windows, but from the attachment it
appears to me that the church's name is repeated in the background of
the report, the real data is printed in the foreground.
  From there I guess that you are having trouble with the style sheet.
 
Maybe you can try selecting a different style sheet from the report
options, or if you a using an own style sheet try to re-work on this a bit.
Anyway, try to set everything back to "default" just to see if it makes
a difference.
 
Sorry, I cannot help you with the question why the behaviour is
different in case you did not change anything during the upgrade from
the previous version to the current version.
