print out expense sub-categories details?

Hi Monica,

     I see there is a miscommunication. Hopefully, I'll get it right, 
this time.  You want to be able to print out a transaction report 
showing the parent account and subsequent subaccounts.  Are you 
referring to printing out a transaction with the corresponding 
transaction split sub accounts?  By your term of "seeing inside" are you 
referring to using two line entries, rather than one line, where notes 
and memos can be stored and transaction splits can have more added detail?

P.S. I noticed your concern about the IRS.  I've been an Enrolled Agent 
for ten years, having my own tax accounting firm.
