Migration to GnuCash 2.6 from 2.4 problem with display of currency

I've reported a bug  HERE <https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=721822>  
referring to the slowness of 2.6.0 on Windows. The developers haven't as yet
commented. Are you using Windows or a different OS?
I'm keen to move to 2.6.* eventually, but for now 2.4.13 seems the most
stable and usable.
