You should not send gnucash user questions to individuals but rather to the
gnucash-user list (I have done this with this reply) for three reasons:

- more people will see your question and your chances of getting a response
from someone familiar with your issue will be much greater

- other users with similar problems will see your question and the answers
you get and will benefit

- you may have ended up in my spam folder and never have gotten a response
at all and presumed I was a jerk for not answering

As an illustration of the first point, I am not personally very familiar
with the business functionality and so am not in a position to answer your
question. I seem to remember similar questions posted in the past with the
resulting advice being to re-use duplicate invoices rather than trying to
delete them, but am not sure. Someone else with more knowledge than I  will
have to respond.
