I guess I should have perused the FAQ, and am properly chastising myself,
now.
I reverted my code back to having the "print" statement, and this technique
does, in fact, show my debugging comments being spewed back and handled
poorly. I'll definitely remember it in the future if I need to screw around
with quote retrieval again.
Luckily for me this was a small bit of code and it was easy for me to see my
error without gnc-fq-helper.
