Write check to brokerage account

[annapolishome]

i wrote a check to my brokerage account to move money.  the money is deducted
from the checking account, but does not show up in the brokerage account. 
is it something about the transfer i chose, i.e assets:investments:joint
account that is the problem or something else i did?
