Gnucash Android to Notebook

Hi, 

can i import the datas or the accounting chart of my gnucash desktop version
to the gnucash version and later on export the files from android to the
notebook? 

Tried to import the charts , but it never really worked. Are there specific
steps to do? 

Are there other apps, which can be used for daily expenses and imported to
the gnucash desktop version?
