Gnucash Crashing during QIF import

Since the QIF file is actually a text file, you should be able to open
it with a text editor.  Try that to see if it is and has anything
unusual in it.  If you have other QIF files, you can compare them or
find some examples on the internet.

I also have release 1.5.1 of GnuCash for Android, but I have not tried
the export function yet.
If the file has gotten corrupted somewhere along the line, that may be
the cause of the crash.
Do you import QIF files successfully from other sources such as banks or
credit card companies?

OFX files are also text files and can be opened with a text editor.  If
a text editor has a problem opening either file, it may have been
corrupted in some way.  That information may also help in solving your
problem.
