Shortcut keys: splits, tabbing, taxes, exchange rates

A couple of oddities I've noted over time but not taken the time until
now to raise:
1. The shortcut sequence Alt+A, P correctly opens a transaction split,
but only if you are in an expense account. It does not work in Asset,
Liability, or Income accounts, at least not for me.
2. I can no longer switch sequentially to the next/previous account tab
with Ctrl+PgUp/PgDn, although it used to work around six months ago
IIRC. It does work in a browser, so must be a GnuCash thing.
And I have not found any way to change either in GnuCash... It's
possible that I had programmed a KDE-wide shortcut sequence but don't
remember doing that, although if it is not present in GnuCash I suppose
I can figure out a way to do so.

Additionally just another vote for automatic tax calculations; I've seen
several such requests while googling. For example:
Account: Expense:Living:Supplies always incurs a 7% sales tax.
Account: Expense:{anything}:{GB {anything}}always incurs a 20% VAT
It would be so cool for the following to exist:
In ACCOUNTS right click an account → Edit Account → Under General >
Identification > Checkbox: x Sales Tax → TextBox: 20.0 Tax Rate
Then any split assigned to this account would automatically correct the
entered principal value by the specified Tax Rate.
Even cooler would be to: Given the specified Security/currency for the
account and considering the Security/currency for the account being
debited (e.g., Cash GBP) to have the current exchange rate applied.
So, for example:
Entering £1.00 in Cash:GBP expense to the split account
Expense:Living:Supplies:GB Supplies would adjust the £1.00 purchase to
1.645928*1.20*x
where x is the entered £1.00 sale price of the article This is
already partially programmed, as entering that sequence brings a pop up
querying the exchange rate and offering to fetch the latest (although
the fetching doesn't seem to work for me, but that's another problem).
I presently accomplish this with an AutoKey shortcut ;gfgtv that
executes
1.65928*1.2*
but better if it were totally automagic.
Carry on. An excellent program, thank you.
Cheers, Andy
