You are free to interpret my comments as you like.

But the *effort* being made currently is getting to a point that gnucash *can* be ported. You 
may not see that as an effort in that direction, but I do. And in my view that work a 
precondition to actually port it.

As long as that precondition hasn't been met, I won't even *try* to start a porting effort. And I 
suspect the same would go for the other currently active developers, although I will let them 
speak for themselves if they like.

And for the record I will support anybody that does want to try. I would very much like to see a 
GnuCash port to android become reality.
