Which stable version of GnuCash should I move to?

I could be wrong, but I do not believe that you can have two versions of
GnuCash on the same windows computer without some directory jiggery-pokery,
or unless one of the two versions is a portable version (ie:
www.portableapps.com).  Trust me, the latest stable version is fine!  Will
it work with Windows XP?  I don't know - Google is your friend.  You sound a
little overly cautious to me.
