i'm using 2.6.6 on a mac...
under edit there is no preferences option
under gnu cash there is a preferences option and under preferences there is a date/ time option
under the date/ time option there are limited choices:1. time format (check to use 24 hour clock2. date format (but the iso option is "2013-07-31" which doesn't get me to "7/31/13"
what am i missing?
thanks.

Under Edit --> Preferences I see "Date Format" and a drop-down that
gives several choices including iso (which, when I'm emperor, everyone
will learn to use since it sorts without any further ado.) (GC 2.6.4.)
