Two separate accounts with shared credit card activity

If I understand correctly, you keep two separate files, one for him, one for her.
If so, I think you have to create an extra account in each of these bookkeeping files, for ex:In his account you would create one "Transactions with Wife" (or "Booty-Call Price-to-Pay" or whatever more politically correct name you want) and in his account, you would create one "Transactions with Husband". I would make them expense accounts in my opinion, so they don't show as assets. Then when he pays her card (or other expense for her) the money goes in this account (shows as an expense to him). When she gets the card paid, the money comes from this expense account, so it may show as a 'negative' expense.

One can think at other ways to add more info and details, but I do something similar with my son's account and it seems to work nicely.
Cheers!DC

I am managing two separate bookkeeping accounts for a husband and wife.
Normally they keep their expenses separate but in one case he paid down one
of her credit cards. How can I post this?

Thanks.
