Copy attachment files to new location

Been using GnuCash for a couple of years and only just discovered the
'Associate File with Transaction' which I believe is a great thing (sure an
indicator would be useful too).
However I have a need to occasionally copy the .gnucash  Data file from my
MAC to a Win system.
 I can see that 'associated files' will not be copied and am wondering if
anyone knows where to find the filenames and importantly how to change them
for a different path?
