QIF Imports into 2.6.10 broken?

QIF import also failed for me. I've been considering migration from Quicken
to GNUcash. I've never used any version of GNUcash prior to 2.6.10. It
seemed like there was nothing to lose by trying to do an export (from
Quicken) and import (to GNUcash). When I ran the import the wizard took me
to the point of hitting a next button which I thought would be when the
actual import operation would be performed. The result was an almost
immediate termination of GNUcash without any kind of message (i.e., error or
otherwise). Upon restarting GNUcash there was no evidence of anything
having been done. It might be worth pointing out that I'd done nothing else
in the way of setup on GNUcash (e.g., I'd never saved file). My idea was
that this import would perform some setup (i.e., define accounts and such)
that might provide a starting point for the use of GNUcash.
