O Hi Russell, Welcome to the list. You can have as many sets of accounts 
(each one is it's own data file) using GnuCash. Just be aware that some 
preferences are global, though, such as default accounting period. HTH,

You can even get around that by using different log ins since each 
computer user (each account) will have a data area distinct from other 
users. But different users can share the same programs.

In a business situation, this actually you might want to do anyway. 
Let's say that you are the treasurer or at least the bookkeeper for both 
of them. Let's say that to enter the data for one of these you can draft 
a clerical person (say to handle entering a lot of invoices being paid). 
You wouldn't (or shouldn't) have the computer set up so that this person 
can see anything but what they need to be able to see.
