How can I fix a spelling mistake in a memorized transaction?

It's unclear if you mean the issue is in the Autofill or if it's a
Scheduled Transaction that's wrong?

If it's Autofill then you need to go and correct all the history of
broken transactions.  Once you do that (removing all instances of the
wrong name) then save, exit, and restart gnucash to clear the cache.

If it's an SX you'll need to correct that from the SX Editor.
