I can at least confirm that I'm no longer downloading new TIAA-CREF prices so it's not just you. Looks like we'll have to wait for someone to fix the finance quote perl scripts. Once they do and posts a patch, I can apply the patch and post an updated Tiaacref.pm that you can use to replace that file on your computer (without having to wait for a release from gnucash and/or finance-quote). I don't know Perl well enough to try to fix it, but once someone does, I can help make it easy for gnucash users to replace that file.
On a Mac, the file is somewhere like this (the numeric version may be different):
/Library/Perl/5.16/Finance/Quote/Tiaacref.pm
/Library/Perl/5.18/Finance/Quote/Tiaacref.pm
If you're on Linux, you can try:
locate Tiaacref.pm from the terminal/shell application.
I don't do Windows so I don't know where the file is on it.
